Landscape

Alongside my work as a perfumer, I operate a landscape design studio.

These practices offer two ways of working with the same materials: plants and space.
I see fragrance like poetry, and landscape design a novel. Similar ingredients, different tools. The outcome: an evocation of something greater.

Drawing on my formal education in fine art, horticulture and landscape design, my practice explores the unfolding potential of working with the natural world.
My work is informed by extensive travel through private gardens, wilderness, and urban settings — both locally and abroad.

I am most interested in how natural environments interact with the built world. It is in these in-between spaces that something mystical can occur.
